Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

I created a localhost website on my computer and upgraded my church's website to 1.7.3. Then, I followed the above three steps for upgrading SermonSpeaker. But, the old sermons are not showing in the new SermonSpeaker. The only sermon that shows is "The Sin of Booze." Any suggestions would be appreciated for what I need to do to fix this.

Sincerely,
Anna

If you only see the default "Sin of Booze" sermon in the backend and nothing else, then something went wrong with copying your tables.
You can just try again or have a look at the tables if the entries are there.

Also to note is that the migration is only really tested with SermonSpeaker 4.0. SermonSpeaker 4.3 should work, but I didn't test it. If it doesn't work you can always try with SermonSpeaker 4.0 and if that goes well you can still upgrade to 4.3.

What program should I use to view the tables with? My computer won't let me open them with any of the programs I currently have on my computer. I tried reloading SermonSpeaker again and the old sermons didn't show.

Thanks,
Anna

Usually you can view your tables with a web application named phpMyAdmin. Your hoster usually has this set up for your, or a similar one.
There are also database management components for Joomla, like this one:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/hosting...base-management/9886
