JW Player not working.

The package contains the component plus several modules and plugins. The component is just the component.
The error message you get tells me that Joomla thinks you have SermonSpeaker already installed. It now tries to perform an update instead of an installation which fails.
You need to clean your system first and get rid of that broken SermonSpeaker installation. You very likely need to manually delete the row for the SermonSpeaker component in the extensions table of your Joomla database. Maybe in other places as well.

I did that. Where else do I look for pieces of it?

I'd look in #__assets, #__extensions, #__schemas.
There are likely references in other tables as well, but those are the ones I can imagine interfering with the installation.

IT WORKED!! I'd hug you if I could!! Now...do I upgrade to the most recent module of SermonSpeaker?

Yes, if the installation was successfull, you can now update to the latest version. The extension manager should show you an available update.

The update was successful. I still can't get the player to work though.
