You can't have multiple categories for one item. That's how categories work everywhere in Joomla. In your case you have to decide for one category or make two speakers for one person. Not the best solution but the only one that will work.

You would face the same thing if you have a Joomla article which would fit e.g. into a "news" and a "youth" category
