Setting The Default Order In The Sermons List???

I think the problem now is that you had some categories assigned in the old release and you didn't reassigned the categories in SermonSpeaker 4.4 yet.

Now the category ids are still stored with the sermons/series/speakers, but no corresponding category is found in Joomla 2.5, thus the sermon will not show.

Can you try create a category and assign all sermons/series/speakers without a category to this one. Then try if that solved the issue.
You could also directly edit the database and set the catid field to 0.
