Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

I've added tags to the filter bar and added the parameter to the menuitems.
The tag dropdown will only show up if at least one tag has been assigned to at least one sermon.
You can test it by installing the attached version of SermonSpeaker.

You are quite right about remote sources been tricky. Right now archive.org have only partial services running due to a "a planned power outage". My audio pages will not load because remote elements can't be pulled in. Its not really a big issue since archive are normally very stable. Building a local cache would defeat the point of using a remote service anyway. so not a biggie.
