Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

Matching Player not found was created by Jamie Plasse
Hi there,
I am very new at all of this, but I am the webmaster for our church site. I have just finished upgrading and I am having trouble getting our podcasts to play. When I enable the plug in, I keep getting the message: Error No matching player found. Can you please give me some advice on how to fix this?
Thanks

The message means that SermonSpeaker tried the available plugins but all of them reported they can't play the file. Thus no matching player has been found.
Now it depends what filetypes you have and what player you want to use. If you can provide this information I can tell if it's a bug or a wrong setting

I'm worried that I barely have the qualifications to have an intelligent conversation about this so if I'm not answering what you are asking correctly, just let me know. I am working with the version 5.4.5 and I have enabled the plugin player JW Player 6. I've played around with a few of the plugins that are available and none seem to change anything. I'm open to any suggestion on where to go from here.

So some more specific questions

- What type of file are you trying to play? mp3?
- WHat have you set in the SermonSpeaker options -> Player tab -> Player? Is it "- Use Plugin - " or one of the options in it?
- If you have the above parameter set to "- Use Plugin -", what plugins do you have enabled when you filter the plugins in the Plugin Manager (Extensions -> Plugins) by the type "Sermonspeaker"?l

I'm sorry it took me so long
Pretty much all of my files are in mp3 format. I am back to using Sermon Speaker 5.4.5 because I uninstalled everything and reinstalled. My sermonspeaker player option is set to 'use plugin' and the plugins I have enabled are the following:
sermonspeaker-generic
JW Player 5
I can now see the player and list of sermons, but I can't get the file to actually play.
thanks
