I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.
Another error 1054 on updating to SS 5.0.3

LOL - think you can see how ditzy this process has made me that I'm missing the blatantly obvious.Thomas Hunziker wrote: "Ressource not found" usually means that there is no file referenced in the sermon. Thus the player can't play anything. Looking at that specific sermon you even wrote it in the notes
Well, FINALLY (!!) you'll be pleased to know you've sorted me out & can have some peace from the sunny shores of Ulster now for awhile

Many MANY thanks for your patience

What would be your recommended process for fixing a 1054 error after updates have been made? It seems that SS was not updated to the most current version for the Joomla version BEFORE updating Joomla to the current 3.4.1 version and then updating SS to the current 5.0.3 (as recommended earlier in this thread). Do we need to revert back to an earlier version of SS and/or Joomla or can we move forward from here?
The error we are getting is
Error: 1054 Unknown column 'publish_up' in 'where clause' SQL=SELECT YEAR(`sermon_date`) AS `year`,CONCAT_WS('-', YEAR(`sermon_date`), MONTH(`sermon_date`), '15') AS `date`,MONTH(`sermon_date`) AS `month` FROM uuokc_sermon_sermons WHERE `state` = 1 AND (`publish_up` = '0000-00-00 00:00:00' OR `publish_up` <= '2015-06-17 06:15:07') AND (`publish_down` = '0000-00-00 00:00:00' OR `publish_down` >= '2015-06-17 06:15:07') GROUP BY `year`,`month` ORDER BY `sermon_date` DESC
The URL to the affected page is 1uc.org/publications/sermons-podcasts
Thank you in advance!

To me it sounds like you have an up-to-date archive module, running together with an outdated component. Updating the component should fix it.
