Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

So it's a quite situational use case.

Yes, that's right.

Only an idea: Couldn't you use the joomla internal function for date driven publishing? It's not a special plugin or so, it is a jommla function?

Cheers,
Tom

There is no Joomla function for that.

Oh yeah... sorry. I'm confused. I looked into the module configuration. It seems, that I only can set modules to published on special dates... :(

Tom

No - wait. I just changed some options in "articles" -> "options" -> "editing layout". There you can activate manual publishing overrides per article.

My remember was right, I think. ;)

I mean THIS joomla internal function:

It is named as "Freigabe starten" und "Freigabe beenden".

Cheers,
Tom

This is a function provided by the com_content component. It's not an internal Joomla function B)

When I want to include this into SermonSpeaker, I would have to build everything myself. I can copy - paste things from com_content, but I still have to maintain the code. It means added form elements, complex queries, checks in the layouts, adjusted modules and plugins (like search plugins).
And then I see that even in core this feature alone produces a lot of bugs and unexpected behavior.
It's just not worth the effort.

It's okay. I'm not a coder, you see? ;)
