Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

One thing is that the alternate player only works for MP3 files and doesn't support playlists like JW Player does. So if you decide to use the alternative player and still want the player available on the listings, SermonSpeaker will automatically fallback to the JW Player for this views. That's why you still have the JW Player there. So this is no bug.

If you have disable the listings player (in the columns section of the parameters), but still have set the function for the "play icon" to control the player, then it will still have this "jwplayer().playlistItem(0)" code in there. Set a new function for this icon (in the general section of the parameters) and this code will be changed.
