Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

What I did was that I verified that the component's information was loaded in the #_menu table, and in the #_extensions table.

Turns out that for some reason, the component_id (foreign key) was not loaded with the extension_id from the #_extensions table. I populated the component_id with the extension_id and the menu item them appeared.

I'm not sure if this is a bug in Joomla or what, but when I viewed the #_extensions table, the component's extension_id was not listed in ascending key order on the table.

IE: the extensions were listed 10001, 10002, 10037, 10003, ....

Anyway ... that fixed the problem. I also wrote this up on the Joomla forums as the extension_id being out of order (and I think its a main index) may have caused the problem.
