Joomla 6?

Do you have plans for moving SermonSpeaker to Joomla 6?
Do you know if it's safe to upgrade to Joomla 5.4?

Yes, I will update SermonSpeaker for Joomla 6. From what I saw it shouldn't be that hard, but haven't had the time yet.

Joomla 5.4 should be fine. I didn't see any issues on my testing site and wouldn't expect anything.

Don't upgrade your Jommla to the version 6 for the moment. 

I did it, and I shouldn't have. Because the extension no longer works: it is no longer possible to add a new sermon.  

I don't have an old enough backup on my hosting to go back, because I didn't notice this malfunction right away. 

I have this error when I want to add a new sermon: Call to undefined method stdClass::set()

Actually, I have already adjusted most of the code for Joomla 6. I haven't tested everything yet, but I think it should work. Which parts (component, modules, plugins) are you using?

You can use the attached version. It should install and work in Joomla 6.
If you have custom layouts, you may have to adjust things as class names have changed (SermonSpeaker uses now the "new" Joomla MVC with namespaced and autoloaded classes).

 

Let me know if you need additional modules or plugins.

I use principally:
index.php?option=com_sermonspeaker&view=sermons
index.php?option=com_sermonspeaker&view=frontendupload

Then the component should be all you need.
