"Sorry, unfortunately I didn't find any sermons" after migration

SS v 6.0.3.
Just rebuilt an old Joomla 3 site in J!4. Installed SS and then did a SQL dump of the SS tables and imported into new DB. Looking in SS in the admin, I see all the sermons and can open and edit them.
Menu item set to show "Sermons list", yet nothing displays on the frontend. Trying to display a single sermon gives a 404.
Confused!

This is most likely because the categories don't match.
With SermonSpeaker 6, I reworked the categories so you have own categories for sermons, speakers and series respectively.
Try creating the categories in SermonSpeaker and reassign the sermons, speakers and series.

Thanks Thomas. That was it! Everything had lost its categories.

Great to hear.
During the update to SermonSpeaker 6, the script would take care of that stuff (creating new categories and reassigning it). So usually one shouldn't get any issues. But since you manually dropped the old SermonSpeaker 5.x database tables into a SermonSpeaker 6 installation, the script didn't do its job
