Default Sermon Sorting

This is a little nerve wracking... I'm pretty tech savvy (electronics, not webpages) but I was just getting used to Joomla 3 when I switched to Joomla 4.  Fortunately my site is quite simple, used mostly to get recorded services to people at home due to COVID.

That said, post update the table view is sorting by title descending instead of date descending.  I've tried changing both the global and menu settings, making sure cache is off and clearing it... no effect.  What am I missing?

What did you set for the "Default Order" and "Default Order Direction" in the SermonSpeaker Options? Is it set to Date Descending?
You should also check the same parameters in the active menu item.

Keep also in mind that the visitor can change the order which would then be stored in the session. So you'd need to close the browser and start an new session to see the default behavior.

It was the local cache that was throwing me off... when debugging the issue I was just refreshing the page so I couldn't tell that the issue was fixed. Newbie mistake.
