Default Category and Series

Every year I forget where to set the default for Category and Series so that I do not have to change them each time I add a new sermon.

The default series and speaker can be set in the backend manager list. Just click the star before the entry so it becomes yellow.

The category is preselected depending on the currently active menuitem or sermons list.

I was able to locate the default series by selecting it in the list of series.
I am not able to locate the active menuitem or sermons list.

The "active menuitem" is only relevant when you're editing in frontend. There it depends from which page you're entering the "New Sermon" form.
If you use the "New" button on a sermons listing page, the currently active category filter on that page.

If you're adding the sermon in the backend, or if there is no category preselected, it will by default select the first category in the list. This ordering can be set in the backend categories manager. If you sort the table by "Ordering ascending" you can drag and drop the entries by clicking on the three vertical dots at the beginning of the line.
