Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

Error: The file cannot be uploaded

Hello Thomas,
I recently get a error message when I want to upload an MP3 in the frontend.
The upload starts, the progressbar appears, runs to the end and then I get the error message: "test2.mp3 (7.3 mb) " Error: The file cannot be uploaded".
I have tried last month to increase security by preventing direct access to .php files via a .htaccess.
Does the frontend upload have direct access/ needs to be run separately to/with a .php file?
Or would you have any other idea what the problem could be? In articles in the frontend I can still upload images as usual.

It shouldn't be related to the direct access to PHP files. SermonSpeaker uses the regular entry point (index.php) for that, nothing special.
Did you check the PHP error log? I think you may see an error there.
