Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

I had one of my churches have an issue with the file they created (too soft). They didn't realize this till they'd entered the new sermon on SS and uploaded the file. They rang me asking, "How do we delete the entry?" I was surprised, when I checked (we're both Super Users) that deleting on the front end appears to not be available. Did I just miss turning something on?

You can edit the sermon and change the state to Trash (assuming you have delete permission). But you can't fully delete it from the frontend.
That's the same behaviour as for Joomla core. Eg you can't fully delete an article from frontend, you can only trash it.

PS: Deleting the sermon file itself is possible using the media manager or the "Orphaned File" tool function in SermonSpeaker. But that requires access to the backend as well.
However you can also just change the file assigned to the sermon to a different one. You don't need to delete the entry itself. Just upload the new file and save the sermon entry again.

Ah-h! Thanks for clarifying that. I'll let them know. It's rare, but just in case, in future.
