Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

I'm not doing custom work. I'm working full time and get paid well for it. I do SermonSpeaker only in my free time - and I like to keep that time as my free time :)
But I may be able to guide and assist you a bit. Just let me know what you need and I can tell you more.

Hi Thomas,
I understand, and I appreciate your time.:). My challenge is this. I am thinking of creating a sermonaudio.com like site, only it will be free for churches. Sermonaudio.com is so expensive and many smaller churches can't justify the cost or simply don't have the extra monies. I have loaded sermon speaker and it is very cool. Only when the frontend upload form is being filled out to upload a sermon the picture upload path goes into my joomla folder as it is suppose to. I would like it only go to the users hard drive to upload. And the select a speaker field and series also accesses my joomla backend. I have tried to adjust the permissions a little but with no luck. Any chance you could create a plugin that would allow for users to only see and edit there sermons, pics, series etc.? I know you mentioned you are not available for hire, but I could pay for it if needed. Or if you can't complete the work can you recommend someone? I hope I explained my needs ok. Thanks

That picture field makes use of the Joomla media form field, which itself interacts with the Joomla media manager.
That media manager is quite limited when it comes to permissions. It gets a big revamp with Joomla 4. With that new media manager, it may be easier to do that you want.
Until then, you would have to replace the current media field with a custom one. That should actually be possible using a system plugin which overrides the class, but I'm not aware of one that does this already, so you'd likely need a custom plugin.
There is a ressource directory: resources.joomla.org/en/category/custom-extensions
You could ask one from there and see if they want to do it.

Blessings
Thomas
