Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

"Save" or even "Save and Close" buttons not working was created by Jeff Dowdy
I can click on a "New" sermon and it brings up the dialogue box with the ability to upload and set all parameters, but when I go to click on any of the Save buttons, it does nothing. This just started happening this week after I updated several components of Joomla.

That sounds like a JavaScript error. Can you check the browser console for any errors?
And is this frontend or backend?

Do you have a special editor? Can you try with the default TinyMCE editor?

That did work. I was using JCE editor.

Then it is likely an issue with JCE. Check if JCE has an update available and if not I'd ask the JCE support.
