Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

It is suddenly no longer possible to play the sermons. It is possible to download the sermon, but not to play it online. Do you know what is wrong?

We run Joomla 3.8.8 and SermonSpeaker 5.8.3.

I would have to see the site to tell you more. Can you tell me the URL of the page where the sermon is that doesn't play?
Most of the time, it's some JavaScript error. That can come from other extensions or sometimes it's also a filename which doesn't play nice with the player JavaScript.

It is all the sermons on koebenhavnsfrikirke.dk/gudstjenester . Previously there were no problems in playing the sermons.

Those sermons play fine for me with (tested with Edge and Chrome).
Tested with the first few Sermons.
