Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

I wonder how the hits of sermons are counted,
Is this when someone clicks a sermon and/or when it is being listened or downloaded.
Is there a posibility to exclude the search-engines from counting a hit?

It's a simple page counter which increments when a single sermon page is visited. Similar to how article hits are measured.
You can disable the counting for certain usergroups (in the SermonSpeaker permission settings), but you can't disable the counter for search engines.
