Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

Hi,

I have a site where the front end upload has been working fine since it has been installed. However, with the installation of J! 3.7.0, and Sermonspeaker 5.6, the front end upload permissions to add new speakers & series have changed.

My client can no longer add a new sermon series from the front end as he now gets a "Edit not permitted" error when clicking on the button to create a new series.

I have not changed any of the ACL permissions for the user group (publisher), so I'm at a loss.

Any assistant you can give would be appreciated.

I found a bug in the URL that was generated for that button. Can you test if the attached version works?
