Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

Hello

I applied a new template and cannot find where I can change the text on the frontend editor dropdown gearbox. I have attached an image of the issue.

You mean the color of the text? Maybe it's also the size.
I can't say without having seen the site as I have to check the CSS rules in effect.
