Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

In the SermonSpeaker Options, you have a parameter "Load IcoMoon CSS" in the "Layouts" tab. Try enabling it, this may fix it.
SermonSpeaker uses this IcoMoon font for most of the icons. The font and the corresponding CSS file is shipped with Joomla, but not all templates make use of it.

It's the file /media/jui/css/icomoon.css
The tooltip of the parameter actually says you that :)
