Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.
Hi - I've read several similar posts and tried to work this out, but I have been unable to get sermons to play. When I go to my sermons page and pull up a sermon, it says "No matching player found." When I save sermons in SermonSpeaker, it tells me "The filename is not safe to use in an URL: sermons/160828_001.MP3" I try to upload the file and it tells me "Error: Uploading the filetype MP3 is not allowed"
"No matching player" means you need to install and enable at least one of the player plugins. If you're using the "icon" layout, you need the "PixelOut" player plugin.
""The filename is not safe to use in an URL: sermons/160828_001.MP3" means that one of the characters used in the filename shouldn't be used. I'd try first without using an underscore. Try with a "-" instead.
"Error: Uploading the filetype MP3 is not allowed" means you should check and save the SermonSpeaker options. Have a look at the "Editing" tab an make sure "mp3" is an allowed filetype in there. Maybe you have to add "MP3" since you seem to use the uppercase. I'm not sure if that plays a role in the check.
