Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

Cannot set permission and Run scripts Joomla 3.5.1 was created by Ken Lee
Dear Thomas,
On platforms with Joomla 3.5.1, SermonSpeaker 5.4.5 and 5.5.2. I find that at Global Configuration, SermonSpeaker, Permission. I choose a group, say Publisher. At "Block hitcount" and "Run scripts" permissions, the default is "Inherited". I tried to change them to Allowed or Denied. I clicked Save. The green message says Configuration successfully saved. But the field values are not saved at all.
Then I installed a fresh Joomla 3.4.5 and tested the older SermonSpeaker 5.3.1, it works. I could save.
In addition, it seems I could not call CreateSermons script remotely with newer SermonSpeaker on Joomla 3.5.1, even with a super user. The curl simply exits, no messages, apache access log shows an entry with 303 return code, but nothing happens. (I am not sure if the problem is in newer SermonSpeaker or Joomla.) Would you kindly verify?
Thank you very much.

I know there are some issues in current ACL system from Joomla. This may very well be one of the issues that is being tried to solve in Joomla 3.6.0.

Dear Thomas,
You are right. I tried on Joomla 3.6.0 beta1 and I could set permissions as before. Now I have to wait for the stable release.
For the unable to run script problem that I mentioned, I find that it was because I had installed another language and Joomla automatically rewrite my requests to index.php to index.php/<language alias> and curl exits. I just added my language alias to the URL and sermons got created.
Thanks for help.
