Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

Try with the Protostar template (use &template=protostar to switch it using the URL) and see if that works. If it does, it's related to your template.
If it's related to the template, I would need a live site URL so I can have a look myself to help you.

It looks like it is template related. I switched to a different template and it works great! Thanks for the quick reply.
