URL to a single sermon by its alias

Dear Thomas,
I want to distribute URL to some particular sermon by its URL for example mysite.com/single/ .
Now the closest thing I can do is to create a menu item whose alias is "single" which points to any single sermon. Then I can make use of the menu, giving result is this:
in.agnusvox.net/single/sermon/100
in.agnusvox.net/single/sermon/101
in.agnusvox.net/single/sermon/102 ,etc.
where the ending number is the ID in the sermon list.
How can I address that single sermons by their aliases? Does it require you to do coding?

You can't access a sermon by its alias. You always need to access it by the ID. The alias is only used to make more meaningful URLs by appending it to the ID. But in the end, you could write anything behind the ID, it doesn't matter at all. SermonSpeaker only checks the ID and completely ignores the alias.

It's the way routing works everywhere in core Joomla and probably in most extensions.

Why don't you access the sermons using the regular URLs?

The reason wanting to access a single sermon by alias is that within a collaborating team some members do not have access to the backend and they need to post sermon's link onto some web pages and forums, etc. It would be easier for them just to derive sermon's URL from audio file name.
Any advise to easily observe the sermon's ID from front end is also appreciated.

You see the ID of any sermon when you have it open in the browser. Just look at the URL in the browser adressbar.
Eg www.sermonspeaker.net/listings/sermons/s...ebendige-wasser.html has "10108" as the ID, "das-lebendige-wasser" is the alias. You can also try www.sermonspeaker.net/listings/sermons/s...-alias-you-like.html and it will show the exact same sermon.
