Sermon will not upload via User Interface

When we login through the back end and create a new sermon (joomla/components/sermonspeaker/sermon > NEW), it allows us to select a file to upload, the progress bar progresses to 100% and appears to have uploaded, but then the sermon is not in the list. I can't figure out if this is a component issue or what. My host can't think of anything causing it on their side. The file size is smaller than the limit set in the Joomla config file.

Any ideas?

Are you uploading it to your own server or to Amazon S3?
Also you need to reload the page so it appears in the dropdown list. But if it's uploaded correctly, it should actually automatically fill in the path into the text field.
Did you host check the server error log?
What Joomla version are you running?
You may also check if you got any JavaScript errors in the browser console.
