Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

All sermons that are not attached to a series are not begin displayed on the main page. I just discovered it today when adding a new sermon. We recently upgraded to the latest SermonSpeaker about 2 months ago.

They should show fine even without a series or a speaker assigned.
Can you check that they have a valid category assigned?
