Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.
The latest sermons module justs the newest sermons regardless if the date is in the future or in past. The sermon just has to be published.
You can disable the player and the speaker name in the SermonSpeaker Options. Have a look at the "Columns" tab and remove the checkbox for the ones you don't want. You can customise it for each view individually here.
