Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

New install today of SermonSpeaker and Vimeo

Uploaded class video to Vimeo

Set Vimeo and User id in SermonSpeaker

Sample content The Sin of Booze works successfully

It appears that the connection to Vimeo is the problem

Any suggestions will be appreciated

Does the Vimeo video play in the detailpage?

The thing is that the Vimeo player doesn't really support playlists. Thus it doesn't work on the sermons list view.

The player should however work in the detailpages.

No the Vimeo does not play in Single Sermon (detailpage) It will only play those loaded to the Joomla image folder.
Do detailed instructions show how to setup SermonSpeaker to access Vimeo content?

The easiest way is:
  • In the SermonSpeaker options, "File Paths" tab: Set the "Mode for videofiles" parameter to "Vimeo" and fill in your "Vimeo User" in the field below.
  • In the sermon edit form, select the video from the dropdown list.

Partial success. I can upload mp4 to Vimeo using backend and play it via SermonSpeaker.

I have loaded several videos directly to my Vimeo account but have not been able to access any of them via SermonSpeaker. Note I don't see any of the videos on Vimeo that I uploaded via SermonSpeaker.

Also I've loaded 2 mp4 videos via Frontend to Vimeo but it will not play. It just clocks on one and on another error message stating Vimeo can't find the content.

There is no upload function for Vimeo within SermonSpeaker. You only only upload to the local server or to AmazonS3.
If you want to use Vimeo, you need to upload the file first to Vimeo, and afterwards it will show up in the video dropdown in the sermon form. Given that you gave the correct Vimeo username within the SermonSpeaker options.
