Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

Is there a layout that shows the "Sermon Notes"? was created by Dave Evans

I have searched and tried, but haven't found a layout that displays the "Sermon Notes" on a sermon detail view. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Very frustrating! I found some sort of instructions on creating edited views/layouts, but the instructions are not helpful. They do not show where to place the code, and it which document (php or xml).

Look in the SermonSpeaker options, in the columns tab. There should be a checkbox for the "single sermon" view to show the notes. Make sure it's checked.

And of course there need to be notes entered in the sermon form. Otherwise there is nothing to show obviously
