Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

You can try reinstalling the version from last november if that fixes it.
I'm not aware of a change in the route helper which could cause this. The only changes were for when there is no matching menu item found.

Maybe check the alias of your menu items. It looks more like there is something funny there.
