Ordering sermon series on series list page

I am running SermonSpeaker 5.0.1 on Joomla 3.1.1. I have created a menu item of type SermonSpeaker - Sermon List. You can view it here:

I am clueless about how to get the series ordered. I would like the series to be listed by date, descending. However, the actual order of display seems to entirely random. In the SermonSpeaker component, in the Series tab, I cannot manually order the series (when I try to move a series, everything else grays out and I can't change the position.) In any case, the ordering of the series on that page bears no resemblance to the ordering of the series within the SermonSpeaker component. Any help?

The series are ordered by the "ordering" column. You were on the right track by trying to just move them around in the backend. However it only works if the list is set to be ordered by the ordering column.
To do this you can either set the ordering in the dropdown list on the upper right corner or just click on the ordering header symbol.

There is also a button on the toolbar which says "Rearrange". This will order your series after title.

Thank you for your quick response; however, that's what I'm having problems with. I have attached a screen cap to show what is happening in the backend. When I try to manually rearrange the series, I cannot move them--everything is grayed out. Also, the list that appears on my sermon series page on the front end bears no resemblance to the backend list anyway. Any ideas why this is happening?

Can you check if it works for sermons and speakers? And if that also doesn't work if it works for articles?

Can you check what happens if you use the "Rearrange" button on the toolbar?

Maybe also check if there are some Javascript errors in the browser console.

Thanks for your suggestions. After trying different things (using different browsers, operating systems, etc.), I finally decided to remove SermonSpeaker altogether and re-install. It's now working as expected. I think something must have gotten corrupted somewhere during the Joomla and SS updates.

Interesting behaviour. I'll keep that in mind.
