Problem with Sermon Speaker Component in Article

We are in the process of converting our old Joomla 1.5 site into Joomla 3.1 with SermonSpeaker 4.5. On the old site we were able to use a simple Joomla plugin, to put the Series list into an article, so that we could put some links to older off-site archived sermons in modules underneath the article:

vac.golgota.hu/index.php/hu/tanitasok

However, in our test site, using the upgraded version of this simple plugin, with the direct link: index.php?option=com_sermonspeaker&view=series , it displays the series list properly, however, at the bottom it also displays a list of categories;

vac.golgota.hu.2.golgota.hu/index.php/testtanitas

this I believe is due to something in Joomla core related to your making categories mandatory in 4.4 onward.. I say this because the label "AlKategoriák" (All categories) is coming from the standard Hungarian joomla language pack, not a translation of SermonSpeaker.

IS there a simply way to keep that from appearing, without hacking lots of PHP scripts that might revert during a future upgrade of joomla core or SermonSpeaker?.. if not, we can look for other ways to display the older off-site archive links, and use the standard menu item of SermonSpeaker type.

Check the category tab in the SermonSpeaker options. You can set if, and how many subcategories will be shown there.

Solved. thanks for zour quick reply. I had turned off everything except setting the subcategory option to "None". Thanks for all the great new stuff in Sermon Speaker..
