Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

Is there a way to make it so that when the Columns Layout is used and you click watch it will play like it does in the table layout? I have it set where if you click the title it plays the sermon or play button when in table layout anyway to fix?

It's quite a bit of time since I wrote that layout, so I don't exactly remember it. But I don't think it is supported by the layout itself.
It's however easy to do by adjusting the layout. Instead of opening a new popup with the `onclick` event you do

onclick="ss_play(<?php echo $i ; ?>);"

where `$i` is the position of the sermon in the playlist of the player.
