Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

Firstly, thank you for the amazing platform. Our church has used this for several years and we are very happy with it. In my version of sermonspeaker, 4.5, I don't have the option to upload a sermon inside of the add new sermon page. The drop down box does not function. Instead we have to upload using FTP. The button for manual upload doesn't seem to work.

The dropdown box populates from the folder specified in the SermonSpeaker options. Make sure you have the correct folder there.

The upload button uses Flash and JavaScript. I would check for JavaScript errors to see if something goes wrong there.

If you see any error messages, those would be helpful. Maybe turn on error reporting in the Joomla global configuration.
