Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

Hello,
is it possible to give the website-users the possibility to change the ordering? E. a.: order by date/oder by preacher/oder by title/theme etc?

There is an option "Filterfield" which allows you to show such filter options. It depends a bit on the layout what will be available.
The table layout allows to click on the table headers which will sort the list after that column.

Filtering by speaker and series is done by clicking on the speaker / series which will show a list of the sermons for that selection.
