Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

Is there a way to make it so the admin can modify any posting. Maybe it's something I set in permissions but didn't think so, I found that when I allow our generic login to post from the front end or back that it won't allow me to edit it unless I login with that account. The Super Admin account should be able to edit anything right.

Yep, SuperAdmin has the power to edit anything. You shouldn't even be able to mess with that.
You should even be able to edit something, another user has checked out.
