unable to save speaker

When I attempt to modify information for a speaker, I get this error message:
"Save failed with the following error: SermonspeakerTableSpeaker: :store failed"
What might be the problem?

Which version of SermonSpeaker, Joomla and PHP are you using?

The exact SermonSpeaker version can be seen in the Extension Manager. The PHP version is shown in the Joomla System Information.

Also you can try to enable the error reporting in the Joomla configuration. Often this shows you more details.

Does this happen with any speaker or a specific one?

SermonSpeaker 4.4.11
Joomla 2.5.9 (we just upgraded the site from 1.5)
PHP 5.3.15

It happens whenever I attempt to save any of the speaker records. Here is an example of the error message:

Thomas, the error occurs when I try to save an existing speaker. I am able to create and save a new speaker. But when I try to save this speaker record again, the error occurs.

That makes sense, yes. You updated directly to 4.4.11 ignoring the advice from the FAQ to update to 4.0 first. Now you got some missing database changes. Another user had the same problem two weeks ago: www.sermonspeaker.net/forum/SermonSpeake...e-and-migration.html .
So either start over or manually add the missing changes

Thomas, you are right. A consultant we hired neglected to install 4.0 before installing 4.4.11. What is the easiest option for fixing this problem? We have over 500 sermon files in our DB.
