Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

I think I found the error. Can you try if it works if you disable error reporting in the Joomla global configuration?
The script currently generates a PHP notice which probably breaks the AJAX lookup request.
In a productive enviroment, this error reporting should be disabled anyway, or only logged and not displayed to be more correct.
If disabling the error reporting fixes your issue, I know that I don't have to search further and can fix it for the next release

Ok sorry for the delay in responding...
In Joomla global configuration under server settings I have changed Error Reporting from System Default to none.
I tried a new upload and the problem still exists the lookup button still had no effect.

Hi Steve
Can you test the attached version? I've fixed something within the id3 tags helper.
Tell me if that worked.
If not, I'll probably need access to your uploading form to see why it fails. If you want to send me login data, you can do so to bakual@bakual.ch

I have installed the attached version but sadly this has not fixed the problem.
I have created your login, and emailed you the details.
Thanks
Steve

Interesting factoid...
The id3 lookup button does work fine in the backend new sermon form but not in the front end add sermon form.
I hope that helps a bit?
