Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

I would like to display the sermon details next to the sermon name in the Latest Sermon Module. As of now, you must hover over the sermon to view the details, but this approach doesn't work on mobile and would overall just be better for this website.

Did you try the "blog" layout? Sounds like what you're looking for.
The layout can be set in the module parameters, "advanced" tab.
