Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

Thanks, that fixed the scripture and the font size issue.
I now have a UL dot to work with.
Where can I find the CSS to remove that?
Or do I need to use the templates custom CSS?

It's all in the template

If you are using InternetExplorer, you can use the built in development tool by hitting F12. Click the arrow on the new window and then select the item you want to see the applied CSS formats. It will show you a lot of information and is very helpful.

Something along:

Code:

ul.latestsermons_list li{
  list-style-type:none;
}

will hide the bullet dot for this module. Put this into your template CSS file.
