Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

In your SermonSpeaker settings there is a tab "columns". Did you check the player there? It has to be enabled there or it will now show.
The player works in the popup window (where it's always shown).

Also as a general note: Try to avoid spaces and special characters in your filenames. The filename has to be URL conform because Flash will have to access it for the player.
If you upload the file with the built in uploader, SermonSpeaker should take care of this for you.

Somehow I missed this. That was it, thanks so much. I've used Sermon Speaker with older versions of Joomla before, this is my first go with the new version. Trying to convince my clients to name their files without space and characters.
