Support for SermonSpeaker 3.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 1.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 4.x, which is better anyway.

How to remove Speaker column was created by Will Roberts
Hello,

We're running version 3.3.1

If you go to our sermons page ( tabspenarth.org.uk/downloads/sermons ) it shows the series and speaker. We would like to remove the speaker column from this page

Does anyone know how to do this??

Thanks
Will

Ouch, 3.3.1. Long time ago ;)
Any reason not to update to 3.4.2? Would be much easier to make changes like this.

Is there a cost to upgrade?

Any ideas on how to change this?

Upgrading to 3.4.3 should bring you only improvements. But as always make a backup of the database prior to upgrade in case something goes wrong. The 3.4.x releases mainly have the Joomla MVC system implemented and thus are better to maintain and also easier to make such changes. Also it will show the actual speakers for a given series based on the speakers of the assigned sermons. You no longer assign a speaker to a series directly.
The component can be downloaded on this page, make sure to also upgrade the modules or they will generate nice error messages B)

In 3.3.1 the file in question is /components/com_sermonspeaker/sermonspeaker.html.php. But figuring out which function exactly it is is a mess. You would need to search for it in the whole file.

In 3.4.3 it would be the file /components/com_sermonspeaker/views/serie/tmpl/default.php for the single serie view. This file then only contains this view.
