Support for SermonSpeaker 3.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 1.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 4.x, which is better anyway.

Error when installing component was created by Erik Russell
Whenever I try to install version 3.4.3 on Joomla 1.5.22 I get the following error:
Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Did you download the file from this site? Can you open the zipfile and see if it isn't corrupt?
Mabe just download it again from here.

Do other extensions install?

are you using Mac? i've noticed this happens with .zip extension files on macs sometimes. try using server to server install.

Hi Thomas -- I did download again and now it installed fine! Odd, but it worked.

Encountered another problem I'm trying to work through; may post a separate thread if I can't figure it out.

FYI: Other extensions were installing fine.
