i have same series and but different catteries. i.e
Categories -> Series
Church Sermons -> John
Other Sermons -> John

the way i distinguish then is by using _ when creating sermons but they show up in front end. is ther another way i could distinguish them when entering them so that they wont get mixed up. something like Categories -> Series Name would work in drop down menu.

I could add the category name in () behind the series name. Would that be helpful? Or would you rather like the category name in front of the series and the list sorted after the categories?

you could probably do it like you are doing it now with speakers if they are published or unpublished. but category and then would work also.

The series have this grouping as well already for published and unpublished ones. I don't think you can group more than onces in a list.

Adding the category to the name of the entry is easier anyway, that's a simple join on the SQL query and doesn't need much coding. Especially if I still sort after the series name and just add the category behind. Like "General Topics (Morning Services)"

You can try this modelfields:

File Attachment:

File Name: lists.zip
File Size:2 KB

Unzip the files and overwrite the ones in

/administrator/components/com_sermonspeaker/models/fields

It should then show the categories in the series and speakers lists.
