Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

I have version 5.9.6 and installed the Columns and Tiles layout. When I activate any of these I get these warnings on the page:

Warning: Illegal string offset 'type' in /nfs/c01/h02/mnt/7219/domains/vastagoepicentro.com/html/v3/libraries/src/Document/Document.php on line 691

Warning: Illegal string offset 'options' in /nfs/c01/h02/mnt/7219/domains/vastagoepicentro.com/html/v3/libraries/src/Document/Document.php on line 702

This does not happen with the other standard layout. What could be the issue?

I can't test it myself this week I'll try to reproduce it next week.
Meanwhile you can set error reporting to "None" in the global Joomla configuration so you don't see those warnings.

I couldn't reproduce the string offset error in my test installation.
It is related to loading a CSS stylesheet file, but without a stack trace it's hard to find out exactly which is the cause.
Can you tell me which view it was? Maybe that helps tracking it down.

However while testing I found two other bugs in the layouts. I've attached the development versions for you to try. Maybe it also fixes your issue (if I had fixed it some time ago and forgot it)

I installed these versions and did not get the illegal string errors. Both layouts, columns and tiles, work without any errors. Thanks!
