Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

Dear Thomas,

I tagged sermons, series and speakers, and find that on pages showing Tagged items, the list of tagged items do not get sorted by "Published Date" for all Sermons Speakers items. While this sorting works for Articles.

I looked into tables #__ucm_content and find that columns core_publish_up and core_publish_down were not filled in for sermon speaker types of items, whilst they have values as copied from the core item types such as Articles when the items are tagged. I think this was why sorting by Published Date has no effect on those Sermon Speaker items.

Is that a bug?

That sounds like a bug. Without having looked into it yet I can imagine that I forgot to fill those columns into the UCM tables when I added the publish up/down feature with 5.4.0.
Tags were introduced two years earlier with 5.0.0.

Please try SermonSpeaker 5.8.3, it should fix that issue.
