Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

Is it possible to select sermons in the latest sermons module based on the uploaded date rather than the sermon date? If an old sermon is uploaded, it doesn't appear in the list.
thanks,

James

Currently it's not possible, but it's easy to implement.
How would you name the option? Currently we have "Latest" (sermon date) and "Most Popular" (hits).

That would be great - thanks. Last uploaded maybe? It might then make sense to rename latest to last preached.

I'm happy to make the changes myself locally (till you release the update) if you point me in three right direction.

Try this one. I found it easier to make the whole thing a bit more flexible than to come up with new language strings :)

No, but you asked in the SermonSpeaker 5.x Support forum ;)

If you want to change your version, you have to look at the file /modules/mod_latestsermons/helper.php and look for the ordering line:
Code:
$query->order('sermon_date DESC, (sermon_number+0) DESC');
Change `sermon_date` to `a.created` and it should work I think.
